Date: Sept 15, 2018
Festival hours are 7 am - 4 pm on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at Lake Sylvia State Park in Montesano. The festival kicks off with a Camp Pancake Breakfast, followed by trail races, music in the park, kids games and races, artists' market, food vendors, history talks, Boy Scout cooking demonstrations, kids nature art, children reading to dogs, Girl Scout exhibits, and a group paddle with kayaks. There will be a limited number of kayaks that the park will loan out at no cost on a first come first serve basis, or you are welcome to bring your own. The group will take a tour of the lake by kayak at 2 pm. The Chehalis Basin Watershed Festival will be bringing their Stream Team activities to the festival as well. This will include activities for kids including fish painting, bracelet making, trivia as well as informational displays showcasing the Chehalis River and its fish and resources.
The event promises to be a fun day for the whole family. Shuttle services will be available at Simpson Elementary School. For those wishing to park at the lake, you must have a Discover Pass, and the Discover Pass will be available for purchase at the park.
